Job Summary
Virtual physician assistant role (CA-licensed) providing primary care via tele-health with patient encounters through video visits, telephonic triage, and email follow-ups. Fully virtual, full-time schedule including evenings/weekends with 6am–12am PST shifts; must maintain active NCCPA and CA licensure while pursuing additional state licenses. Responsibilities include clinical rounds, collaboration with virtual and in-office teammates, delivering evidence-based primary care, and leveraging technology to support patient care. Compensation base range is $59.10–$65.50 per hour (plus differential), with comprehensive benefits; location is US-based remote work with licensure in CA and ability to obtain other licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in an accredited Physician Assistant program (MSPAS)
- Active NCCPA certification
- Currently licensed in CA with ability to obtain additional state licenses
- 2 years in outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0+) OR 2 years in urgent care or emergency medicine setting seeing patients of all ages (0+)
- Willingness to obtain additional state licensure for virtual primary care in additional states
- Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts (every other Saturday or Sunday required)
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Open to feedback and adapting to patient needs
- Comfort with using technology to deliver high-quality care
- Clinical proficiency in evidence-based primary care
- Readiness to adapt personal and interpersonal behavior to meet patient needs
- Ability to work as part of a team in virtual and in-office settings
- Treating patients via tele-health visits, triage calls, video visits, and email follow-ups
- Participation in weekly Clinical Rounds and other modalities
- Collaboration with virtual and in-office teammates via daily huddles
- Willing to obtain additional state licensure and credentialing for virtual primary care in additional states
