Job Summary
Virtual/remote Part-time Program Facilitator role delivering ELA programs to middle/high school students via Zoom. Responsibilities include facilitating or co-facilitating online sessions, monitoring Zoom chat, applying divergent pedagogy to help students construct meaning, building rapport and community, observing and addressing classroom behavior, handling attendance records, and attending facilitator trainings. Requires ability to work up to 25 hours/week during school hours, a private quiet workspace, stable internet, proficiency with Zoom, and adherence to ELA curriculum and copyright rules. Bachelor's degree in education or related field and experience with diverse student populations preferred; FBI-BCI background check required; compensation $25/hour with hourly annualized salary of $52,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or associate field
- Experience working with diverse populations of students, middle and high school experience preferred
- FBI - BCI background check required
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle a variable schedule
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Access to stable, private, and reliable Wi-Fi with a desktop computer or laptop
- Maintains confidentiality of all student information
- Adheres to the ELA curriculum with fidelity, as well as all copyright and trademark issues
