Job Summary
Assist with enrollment and ensure courses meet graduation requirements, then monitor student progress weekly to keep them on track. Manage classroom and lab environments while establishing clear expectations and communicating with instructors, administrators, and parents. Establish rapport with students, advocate for their needs, and encourage self-directed learning. Meet with students as needed to record interactions and assign final grades. Act as the liaison between the course, instructor, and student to support academic goals. Report virtual learners for pupil count days and archive records for audit purposes.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education, or Associate's (or higher) degree, or meet rigorous standards through formal state or local academic assessment of ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics
- Evidence of ability to work successfully with students and teachers in a classroom setting
- Neat personal appearance
- Wellness oriented individual
- High moral character, integrity, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrates use of correct written and verbal communication skills
- Evidence of computer skills
- Knowledge of and/or interest in learning more about diverse student cultures and backgrounds
