Job Summary
Assist the RN in patient care by checking vital signs, recording medical history, and performing phlebotomy, point of care testing, and electrocardiograms. Utilize specialized skills and safety protocols to complete assigned tasks in accordance with NYS LPN scope of practice and NYULH policy. Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care to patients and families facing health maintenance, illness, hospitalization, or diagnostic testing. Schedule includes 12:30p to 8:30p M-F at Huntington Station Medical Group for Internal Medicine, or 9a to 5p M-F at Commack for Cardiology Testing. Current NYS OP LPN licensure and registration are required; BLS certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of LPN program
- Current NYS OP LPN licensure and registration
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently
- Thrive in a team work environment
- Physical stamina
- Manual dexterity
- Visual and aural acuity
- Effective communication with all levels of the organization
- LPN license
Desired Qualifications
- BLS certification
