Job Summary
Conduct Pre-Separation Briefings, Transition Overview Courses, and MOS Crosswalk training for separating Service Members and Family Members. Assist clients in preparing Individual Transition Plans, translating military skills for private sector employers, and utilizing automated tools like TAPXXI and resume writers. Provide Initial Transition Counseling, ensure completion of mandatory forms including DD-2648 and CAPSTONE events, and refer personnel to on-post and off-post service providers. Deliver additive workshops via JKO and Virtual means while facilitating the transition from military to civilian environments. Assist the Contract Installation Manager with reporting, tracking VOW/CRS progress, and notifying clients of eligibility or missed requirements. Complete mandatory Government training, safeguard PII, file records per ARIMS, and upload information into iPERMS. Participate in marketing activities and employment events as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree PREFERRED in Training and Development, HR Management, Counseling, or related field
- minimum 2 years career counseling, education, or related experience
- Experience with software packages such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- ability to accomplish the following: support transitioning military personnel, Army Civilians, and Family Members with separation briefings
- conduct training to support VOW/CRS
- resume critiques
- interview support
- learn and use TAP XXI system to assist clients
- track client progress
- assist with job fairs, employer days, and classroom events
