Job Summary
Provide exceptional virtual care through patient assessments, medical history reviews, and appropriate treatment decisions. Order lab tests, prescribe medications (excluding controlled substances except buprenorphine), and collaborate with nurse practitioners and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient outcomes. Maintain detailed medical documentation and stay current with telehealth innovations and best practices. Commit to a schedule of 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally) over four days, with scheduling one week in advance. Complete required training, including buprenorphine certification, and obtain licenses in five U.S. states. Join a network of physicians expanding access to addiction treatment and underserved communities using streamlined EMR technology.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states, but preferably five
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses
- Critical to be licensed in at least five states and/or three or more of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally), over four days each week, scheduling at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs
- At least one DEA certification
- Applicable CSL (if required)
