Job Summary
Virtual Art Teacher for ACCEL Schools' Virtual Preparatory Academy of Ohio (online K–12) teaching role. Serve as teacher of record, deliver live virtual art lessons via web conferencing, differentiate instruction using research-based practices, complete course setup in the LMS, monitor asynchronous progress, provide daily feedback/grades, and collaborate with the Principal on progress reports. Travel to support required in-person state testing and student events several times per year. Current Ohio teaching license required; 2 years of teaching experience preferred. Strong communication, technology proficiency (Microsoft Office), and ability to manage confidential information are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
- High quality written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to properly manage confidential information
- Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time
- Ability to supervise students in all school settings
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
