Virtual Art Teacher

As Virtual Art Teacher for the Virtual Preparatory Academy of Ohio, serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for K–12 online instruction. Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conferencing, differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, and monitor progress in asynchronous courses while providing daily feedback/grades. Complete course setup in the Learning Management System, track student progress, and collaborate with the Principal to generate Progress Reports. Communicate regularly with families and use research-based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction, while fostering a joyful, culturally responsive virtual classroom. Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually and participate in planning non-instructional activities (e.g., events/field trips). Requires current Ohio teaching license, knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards, strong communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to stand for long periods during in-person activities, and the capability to manage confidential information. The role involves online teaching with periodic in-person state testing, schedule flexibility for travel, and opportunities for career advancement within ACCEL Schools.
