Job Summary
Virtual Acute Care Registered Nurse works from the Big Flats, NY office to provide virtual nursing care to bedside nurses across Guthrie Hospital acute care units. The role delivers professional nursing care in an acute care environment via telecommunication technology, collaborates with bedside nurses to coordinate patient care, and supports learning and leadership within the nursing team. Requires NY and PA RN licensure, BSN preferred, current BLS/ACLS within specified timelines, EPIC proficiency, and 5 years of acute care bedside experience. Position is full-time, daytime hours (36 hours/week) with a sign-on bonus opportunity; office-based in Big Flats, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- Registered Nurse licensed in New York and Pennsylvania
- BLS/ACLS within required timelines (BLS/ACLS within 6 months; specialty certification preferred)
- 5 years of experience in acute care bedside nursing
- Proficient with Windows-based computer skills and EPIC documentation
