Job Summary
Locum tenens Infectious Disease Physician needed for a Virginia facility. Inpatient care and new consult coverage with central line placement and vascular-access device management. Includes microscopic specimen evaluation and intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents. 5 pm on-call provider takes over for new consults. Assignment ongoing with paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing expenses; assignment details managed through Weatherby Healthcare. Charter member of NALTO.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or DO degree
- Virginia medical license or license-eligibility
- Board certification in Infectious Disease preferred
- Ability to perform inpatient care and new consult coverage
- Experience with central line placement and vascular access management
- Experience with microscopic specimen evaluation and intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents
- Compliance with hospital privileges and credentialing
- Ability to participate in 24-hour on-call coverage for new consults
