Job Summary
Vinyl Graphics Technician responsible for preparing, producing, and finishing vinyl graphics and related printed materials. Set up and operate digital printers, plotters, laminators, and related production equipment; load materials, run cut files, label and distribute finished parts, and dispose of scrap. Trim, weed, laminate, mount, and apply vinyl to substrates; ensure accuracy, color quality, and finish to meet production layouts and quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe workspace, communicate production or inventory concerns, and collaborate with the Graphics Team Lead and cross-functional teams to support timely delivery; adhere to OSHA/MOSH safety procedures and PPE usage.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in graphics, sign production, or related field preferred
- Experience in vinyl graphics production, sign fabrication, large-format printing, or similar production environment
- Ability to read work orders, layouts, drawings, and production specifications accurately
- Hands-on experience with vinyl cutting, weeding, masking, laminating, mounting, and application techniques
- Familiarity with large-format printers, plotters, laminators, hand tools, and basic production equipment
- Strong attention to detail, color accuracy, alignment, and finished appearance
- Basic computer skills; experience with design or production software such as Adobe Illustrator, Onyx, Flexi, or similar programs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new materials, equipment, and installation methods
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE in production or installation environments
