Job Summary
Vineyard and Truck Maintenance Mechanic responsible for maintenance and repair of vehicle fleet and vineyard equipment across ~830 acres. Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, BIT inspections under DOT regulations, and load/transport equipment between ranch locations. Travel to Bonterra ranches in Hopland and Ukiah for on-site support; communicate with management on parts, supplies, and findings. Inspect major components, troubleshoot operator-reported problems, and implement modifications to improve performance and production. Maintain shop and service trucks, follow safety procedures, and perform tasks such as welding, hydraulics, and electrical wiring. Schedule: 5 days per week, 7:00 am–3:30 pm with possible overtime; occasional call-ins for emergencies; pre-employment physical and background checks required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in vehicle/heavy truck/vineyard equipment maintenance
- Certifications to operate specific equipment, machinery and/or plant vehicles
- Valid Driver’s License with clean DMV record, Class C; Class A license preferred
- Must be able to read and use equipment manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics
- English language literacy; bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Pre-employment physical
