Job Summary
Villa Colombo Toronto is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join their Resident Services team. The role involves providing nursing care in line with standards and legislation, administering medications, and participating in interdisciplinary team conferences. Candidates need current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and CPR certification, as well as experience in geriatric nursing and long-term care.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of geriatric nursing and the long-term care sector
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021
- Medication administration and clinical documentation proficiency
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last six months) as a condition of employment
- Compliance with occupational health, immunization, and screening requirements
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
Desired Qualifications
- Italian language skills are considered an asset
