Job Summary
Provide virtual foreign language instruction to improve proficiency across Listening, Reading, and Speaking (L/R/S) per DLPT/ACTFL/OPI; deliver instruction on regional/cultural subjects using blended-learning methods; develop lesson plans; assess and deliver instruction for ILR levels 0+ to 3; review and grade assignments; maintain a positive virtual learning environment; collaborate with Managers/Coordinators to address curriculum gaps; requires access to necessary technology and English-language qualification benchmarks.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Educated native speaker or near-native capability in listening, reading, and speaking with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent
- Experience providing virtual foreign language instruction
- Understanding of cultural, social, and political environment of the foreign language region
- Experience creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials to customer needs
- Access to a computer with Windows, webcam, headset with microphone, cellular phone or smart tablet, and high-speed internet connection
- Proficiency assessments in English (ILR level 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High) or equivalent via OPI/DLPT/TOEFL/ECL measures
- Proficiency in target language demonstrated by OPI-DLIFLC, ACTFL certification, or DLPT
