Job Summary
Video Producer role responsible for end-to-end production of premium digital video for CNET Group studios (CNET, PCMag, Mashable). Develop editorial storytelling from concept to final cut; transform complex topics into engaging video treatments and scripts; collaborate with Executive Producers to bring series and formats to life. Manage production including field and studio shoots, lighting (3-point), audio capture, camera operation (A-roll/B-roll), and post-production with tight deadlines, color grading, and sound design. Direct on-camera talent to align performances with visual goals. Based in New York with travel for events and occasional off-hours for breaking news or product launches.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of professional video production
- one-man band capable of handling from setup through final export
- experience with mirrorless cameras and cinema rigs
- 3-point lighting
- field audio recording
- Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro
- Proficiency in Photoshop and After Effects is a plus
- knowledge of YouTube, social video, and web-native players
- ability to pivot between multiple projects/brands
- demo reel or portfolio with roles described
