Job Summary
Video Engineer in the Streaming & CDN team responsible for developing and maintaining C++ and Go-based systems powering Zattoo's CDN and video delivery. You will write high-quality, maintainable code, participate in testing, configure data pipelines, debug complex issues, and collaborate across squads. The role emphasizes building scalable video streaming services (DASH/HLS), crafting edge-nodes software, and contributing to backend services and Python middleware, with opportunities to mentor teammates, support SRE monitoring, and adopt AI tooling to enhance efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in modern C++
- Experience with Go
- Experience developing and supporting high-load Unix systems in a distributed production environment
- Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), cache strategy design, edge computing, and performance tuning for large audiences
- Experience with DASH and HLS streaming formats
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Proactive mindset and curiosity about AI tools and technologies
