Job Summary
Edit original short-form and long-form videos from raw footage through final delivery, working with producers to shape story structure, pacing, and emotional impact. Select the strongest interviews, sound bites, and visual moments, then add graphics, captions, transitions, and sound design to strengthen each piece. Adapt videos for different platforms, formats, and aspect ratios while ensuring every output reflects The Daily Net's voice, tone, and quality standards. Manage revisions, deliver final videos on schedule, and review performance data to improve future edits. Remain flexible for timely stories, including occasional weekend work when required.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience editing short-form and long-form digital videos
- A portfolio demonstrating strong storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software
- Experience working with interviews, contributor footage, voice-overs, music, graphics, and captions
- A strong understanding of social platforms, video formats, audience retention, and content packaging
- Good visual judgment and attention to detail across picture, sound, graphics, and text
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- The ability to manage multiple edits, respond to feedback, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
- Flexibility to support timely stories and occasional weekend production when required
