Job Summary
Video Editor for a remote, fully-digital marketing team. Responsible for transforming long-form video into high-impact short-form content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. Create content in multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9), reformat old footage, and ensure edits align with a consistent brand aesthetic. Collaborate with the digital marketer to meet tight deadlines, adjust creative direction based on engagement metrics, and optimize pacing, transitions, and sound design for social formats. Must be proficient in at least one major editing suite (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and possess social-media-savvy instincts and strong storytelling. A self-directed candidate with a passion for digital games or collectibles is preferred. Bonus skills include AI-assisted editing tools (Descript, Runway, Opus Clip) and CapCut. The role is full-time and remote, with 15 days paid leave; US hours alignment may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one major video editing suite (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong understanding of social media trends and ability to edit for platform-specific requirements (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, etc.)
- Creative storytelling and visual appeal in edits
- Ability to work independently in a startup environment with minimal supervision
- Genuine interest in digital games or collectibles is a plus
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools (Descript, Runway, Opus Clip) and CapCut for mobile/social-specific editing is a plus.
- Experience with multi-skilled hires who can evolve with the business.
- Paid Leave: 15 days paid leave (note: no US public holidays as sales are big on those days).
