Job Summary
Cut shorts for LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram with sound-off-first hooks in three seconds, and assist senior editors on long-form customer story documentaries and the Tars 3.0 launch hero piece. Own captions, sound design, B-roll selection, color, and pacing, defending your editorial decisions without a shot list or rigid templates. Watch retention curves and hook drop-off data to adjust subsequent cuts. Work directly with founders and the content team while maintaining ownership of your personal channels. This six-month remote internship in India includes a paid trial week, with a monthly stipend based on experience and the possibility of full-time conversion.
Required Qualifications
- Experience editing video content (YouTube, Instagram, freelance, college work, or a friend's podcast)
- A public portfolio of video work accessible for review
- Fluency in at least one non-linear editor (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or CapCut Pro)
- Ability to defend opinions on pacing, cutting decisions, caption readability, music usage, and sound design
- Curiosity about AI, software, and how businesses use technology
- Location in India
- Availability for 6 months
- Comfort working mostly async with a few syncs a week
