Job Summary
Own the full visual edit of episodes, managing multi-cam sync and cutting across master, guest, and host angles to create intentional, non-mechanical transitions. Cut hook-driven shorts that stop the scroll within five seconds and carry a story to the final frame, while applying vibrant, industry-standard colour grading with natural skin tones and clean contrast. Design on-brand motion graphics, lower thirds, and titles that feel premium and minimal, and shape sound design to broadcast quality. Support complex conversations with B-roll, archival footage, motion, and data visualisation where it earns its place, ensuring hard ideas remain legible. Deliver cinematic, narrative-driven edits that transform abstract concepts into gripping visuals, treating every project with full ownership and minimal hand-holding.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cinematic, narrative-driven editing
- Fluency in Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve / After Effects (or equivalent)
- A real eye for colour, motion, and sound—not just software operation
- Ability to turn complex topics into clear, gripping visuals
- Ownership of projects and reliable delivery with minimal hand-holding
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with documentary or explainer-style content
- Depth in motion design and data visualisation
- Comfort using AI tools to generate or enhance visuals
- An interest in technology, science, or startups
- Knowledge of narrative structure, cinematic tension, making complexity feel effortless
