Job Summary
Capture daily photo and video content on-mountain and in-village for social, web, and campaigns, then edit agile, social-first video with fast turnaround. Plan shoots aligned with weekly calendars and coordinate with athletes, instructors, and guests for lifestyle and action projects, ensuring consent and releases are handled appropriately. Maintain organized footage and project files while representing Big White professionally, prioritizing guest experience and safety. Work closely with the marketing team to support contests, partner campaigns, snow reports, and event recaps. This seasonal, full-time on-mountain role runs from late November 2026 to mid-April 2027, with a minimum 32-hour work week and an hourly wage of $28–35. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Strong short-form videography and editing experience
- Portfolio that shows action, lifestyle, and social-first storytelling
- Confident skier or snowboarder
- Able to ride all groomed terrain safely with camera gear
- Proficiency with Premier Pro
- Proficiency with After Effects
- Proficiency with Dropbox
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office platform
- Comfortable shooting solo in winter conditions
- Able to make smart decisions when weather and visibility change
- Experience capturing clean audio in the field using on-camera and external microphones
- Audio editing and mixing skills
- Skills including dialogue cleanup
- Skills including reducing wind/background noise
- Skills including balancing music and voice
- Skills including exporting polished social-ready content
- Portfolio displaying colour correction skills
- Portfolio displaying basic colour grading skills
- Strong understanding of how to prepare and optimize video for social and digital channels
- Understanding of export settings
