Job Summary
As a Video & Community Interpreter, you will provide access and inclusion for the Deaf community by interpreting telephone calls and remote interactions, translating documents, and assisting with community assignments. You are expected to maintain confidentiality, alert team leads to concerns, and communicate with colleagues. Essential qualifications include registration as a Sign Language Interpreter and three years of post-qualification experience. Flexibility and the ability to travel are necessary, while video interpreting experience is desirable. The role supports professional development and offers a range of employee benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Registered with the NRCPD, RBSLI, or SRLPDC as a Registered or Trainee Sign Language Interpreter
- Three years post qualification experience in a range of domains
- Flexibility in your approach to work
- Willingness to travel around the designated area for community assignments
