Job Summary
Video Communications Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting video conferencing, Telehealth, and Digital Media services across Advocate Health locations. Leads and collaborates on architectural design, BOM creation, and budget estimates; configures dial plans and service maintenance for Cisco/Polycom UC systems; operates Crestron AV controls and related codecs/MCUs; maintains databases/directories for video services; participates in solution design with vendors and technical teams; travels to multiple locations and delivers end-user training to improve adoption and proficiency; works with business partners to gather requirements and define outcomes, contributing to process improvements and better user experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related (or equivalent knowledge)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Video Communications
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Strong research, analysis, design skills
- Basic Infrastructure knowledge in DNS, DHCP, Network Layer, IP Scheme, VOIP, Server, Storage and virtual technologies
- Ability to travel to and support all Advocate Health locations
- Experience with Cisco and Polycom UC infrastructures
- Experience with Crestron AV control systems
- Experience with video conferencing technologies and related AV equipment
