Job Summary
Provide direct advocacy, support, and information to victims of domestic violence and other crime, witnesses and family members in the justice systems with a focus on the ICC process; accompany, assist, and intervene to ensure victims’ rights are upheld; perform court accompaniment for ICC hearings; assist in Victims Compensation Assistance Program claims; liaison between police, prosecutors and victims; refer to appropriate social service agencies; maintain confidentiality and support clients through mandated Victims of Crime Act responsibilities; requires a degree in human services or criminal justice (or equivalent experience) and background checks with domestic violence training; valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle; part-time position in Lancaster County, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service or criminal justice related field
- Associate’s degree in a human service or criminal justice related field
- Equivalent combination of education, experience or training that provides the knowledge, experience or skills to do this job
