Vice President Underwriting, Bail Division

Job Summary
Recruit, appoint, and develop qualified bail bond agencies while underwriting agency appointments and large bond submissions. Provide underwriting guidance and support to existing agents, conduct field audits, and monitor agency performance to identify growth and risk improvement opportunities. Represent the company at state and national bail associations and legislative bodies, monitoring regulatory developments and participating in advocacy efforts. Collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Compliance, and Executive Management to support the Division's strategic initiatives. Requires ten years of experience in the commercial bail bond industry, extensive underwriting or agency development background, and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of bail bond laws, regulations, and industry practices in multiple states or on a national level
- Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term professional relationships with agents, regulators, and industry organizations
- Professional demeanor with excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the commercial bail bond industry
- Extensive underwriting experience and/or a proven record of recruiting and developing bail bond agencies
- Experience evaluating agency performance, underwriting risk, and financial exposure
- Experience conducting agency audits and compliance reviews
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Outgoing, self-motivated, and relationship-driven
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Sound judgment and independent decision-making ability
- Strategic thinker with a focus on profitable growth
- Collaborative team player who represents company with integrity and professionalism
