Job Summary
Vice President, Transportation Growth & Strategy leads strategic growth across New Jersey and surrounding region for a transportation-practice within an engineering/construction-management firm. Builds and maintains relationships with public-sector transportation agencies, identifies opportunities, guides pursuit strategies, leads capture planning, coordinates with leadership to align market opportunities with firm capabilities, expands visibility in target markets (Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey), monitors funding and procurement developments, represents the firm at industry events, supports client satisfaction and account growth, and provides strategic market insight.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Planning, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience leading business development, capture management, client engagement, or strategic growth initiatives within the transportation or civil infrastructure industry
- Existing relationships and industry credibility with agencies such as NJDOT, NJ Transit, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, or other public-sector transportation organizations
- Strong understanding of qualifications-based selection processes, public procurement requirements, and transportation consulting pursuits
- Proven ability to develop opportunities, influence decision-makers, and contribute to successful contract wins
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, technical professionals, teaming partners, and agency representatives
