Job Summary
Collaborate with business and operations teams to define payment and core banking requirements, translating them into clear technical specifications. Work with developers to design and deliver technical solutions, develop project documentation, and oversee UAT, live verification, and post-implementation monitoring. Support production activities including regular maintenance, change request management, and technical support involving Linux shell scripts, Java applications, IBM MQ, and IBM Connect:Direct file transfer setup. Assist with application troubleshooting, incident analysis, log review, script execution checks, queue/message flow investigation, and debugging. Requires 7–10 years of experience in software development or technical business analysis within the banking sector, with proficiency in Java, Linux, and IBM technologies. Full-time regular employee role located at Two Harbour Square.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related discipline
- 7–10 years of experience in software development, technical business analysis, or application support within the banking or financial services sector
- hands-on exposure to Java
- hands-on exposure to Linux shell scripting
- hands-on exposure to Linux commands
- hands-on exposure to IBM MQ
- hands-on exposure to IBM Connect:Direct
- hands-on exposure to SQL
- proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant work experience
- Practical experience in production support, including monitoring batch jobs, reviewing application logs, executing or validating shell scripts, checking Linux server processes, and coordinating with infrastructure or application teams for issue resolution
- Knowledge of IBM MQ queue setup, message flow support, connectivity troubleshooting, and IBM Connect:Direct file transmission setup, monitoring, and issue handling
- Project management and senior business analyst experience, including preparing specifications, system design documents, system testing, and user acceptance testing support
