Job Summary
Lead the execution and continuous refinement of the firm's DMV growth strategy by validating market intelligence through executive outreach, industry engagement, and competitive analysis. Identify emerging markets, capital programs, and legislative initiatives before they become public pursuits, then develop strategic recommendations regarding markets, clients, partnerships, and future investments. Cultivate executive-level relationships with owners, developers, utilities, healthcare systems, and public-sector leaders to position the firm as a trusted advisor long before procurements are released. Establish annual pipeline and revenue goals while developing capture strategies for priority pursuits, partnering with Operations, Marketing, and Technical Leaders to improve overall win rates. Serve as a visible ambassador at industry conferences and civic organizations, providing ongoing insight into market trends and strategic risks to the CEO and executive leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 15+ years of experience in business development, strategic growth, government relations, or market leadership within the AEC, infrastructure, or professional services industries
- Established network of executive relationships across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia
- Proven success developing strategic pipelines and driving revenue growth
- Experience working with public agencies, institutional owners, and complex capital program clients
- Strong knowledge of public procurement, funding mechanisms, and stakeholder management
- Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
