Job Summary
Vice President, Specialty Division is responsible for the executive leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction of SCF’s Specialty Division. Leads a division of 17 departments, roughly 588 FTEs, and an operating budget exceeding $100 million, with services across both inpatient and outpatient specialty care. Serves on SCF’s executive leadership team, reporting to the President/CEO and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to advance the mission of a community-owned healthcare model. Ideal candidate possesses experience in large-scale healthcare leadership, including outpatient and inpatient programs, with a focus on collaborative leadership, strategic innovation, and alignment with SCF’s mission and Nuka System of Care. Education/Experience requirements include advanced degrees (Master’s in health/business, MD/DO with board certification, or Master’s in Mental Health or Nursing with relevant clinical/management experience), plus five years of health care management experience or equivalent director-level experience; clinician experience welcome but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a high-level executive overseeing large scale and complex service lines and operations
- Experience working in complex healthcare environments, including community-based healthcare organizations, accountable care organizations, large vertically integrated health systems, rural and remote healthcare, and/or hospitals
- Experience in executive oversight of outpatient clinical programs, as well as understanding of inpatient clinical programs
- A strong advocate of Southcentral Foundation and its mission
- Collaborative leadership and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at various levels by cultivating relationships
- Passion for a community owned healthcare model driven by the voice of customer owners
- A strategic, innovative, creative, forward-thinking mindset to help push the organization forward
- Must meet one of the following: Master’s degree in health or business field; MD or DO with board certification and three years of experience; Master’s degree in Mental Health with three years of experience as clinician; Master’s degree in nursing with three years of experience as practicing nurse; Equivalent training and experience may be substituted; Five years of health care management experience or demonstrated proficiency in director level position at SCF
