Vice President, Snowflake Data Engineer

Job Summary
Architect, design, and implement enterprise-scale Snowflake solutions supporting secure, scalable, and high-performance data platforms aligned with business strategy. Lead the design and optimization of data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Snowpipe, dbt, stored procedures, tasks, and dynamic tables. Define and implement medallion architecture across bronze, silver, and gold layers to improve performance and data accessibility. Enable secure and governed data sharing across internal and external stakeholders while maintaining strong access and compliance controls. Drive adoption of enterprise data governance, security, and quality standards through role-based access control, metadata management, and lineage practices. Partner with engineering, architecture, and business teams to define scalable data models and patterns. Support emerging AI use cases by integrating structured and unstructured data solutions involving chatbots, RAG, and vector databases. Requires 10+ years of Snowflake experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with AWS or Azure ecosystems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience of 10+ years in designing and implementing Snowflake-based data platforms and architectures in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data ingestion patterns including Snowpipe
- Proven expertise in data transformation and pipeline development using dbt, Snowflake stored procedures, tasks, and dynamic tables
- Deep understanding of data modeling, data products, metadata management, business and technical metadata, data lineage, and data quality principles
- Strong experience implementing data security and governance controls including RBAC and enterprise governance tooling such as Collibra
- Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and their integration with Snowflake ecosystems
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
