Job Summary
Vice President, Sales to lead strategic growth initiatives across events, media, and sponsorships for Informa Markets, owning revenue performance and the delivery of the sales plan. Responsibilities include developing and executing business development strategies, identifying new market opportunities domestically and internationally, collaborating with Marketing on campaigns, managing Heads of Sales and senior sales leaders, overseeing CRM data and sales operations, building deep stakeholder relationships, representing the company at industry events, and driving account growth through retention, cross-selling, and large-key accounts. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in events or media with a track record of exceeding targets, plus strong leadership, client-management, and strategic planning skills. The role supports a hybrid work arrangement in Irving, TX, with in-person collaboration three days a week or more.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in events or media, leading high performing sales teams with a record of exceeding targets
- Expertise in managing and developing sales teams to drive profitability and account growth
- Strong experience in maintaining deep customer relationships and leading account growth strategies
- Advanced proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) for sales tracking and pipeline management
- Strong leadership and sales performance management skills, fostering accountability and high energy
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to develop relationships at senior levels and manage high-value accounts
- Strong knowledge of industry trends, business insights, and strategic planning
- Sales coaching and leadership EQ to inspire and mentor teams effectively
