Job Summary
Vice President of Sales to own advertising and sponsorship revenue growth across City Cast’s multi-platform network. Lead end-to-end sales process from prospecting through close to renewal, leveraging an active advertiser and agency network to open doors and close strategic business. Translate strategy into execution across local, regional, and national buys; coach and elevate a distributed sales team; own forecasting, budgeting, and CRM discipline; refine packaging, pricing, and pitch narrative; collaborate with marketing, ad ops, and client success to maximize product offerings; manage executive-level relationships with priority advertisers and holding companies; monitor market trends and drive modernization of the sales organization; travel to City Cast markets ~20% of the year.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of digital media sales experience with a proven track record of revenue growth
- 5+ years of sales management experience, including managing teams remotely across multiple geographies
- Multi-market or network sales experience
- Audio, podcast, and/or video sales experience, including host-read and integrated sponsorship, programmatic and direct-sold inventory, and attribution
- Demonstrated success operationalizing go-to-market strategies with playbooks, packaging, pricing, and pitch materials
- Strong storytelling ability; sell on narrative as much as numbers
- Forecasting and budgeting discipline with CRM and sales operations fluency
- Early adopter of AI in sales tools; integrate across team workflow
- Talent development; coaching and promotion of strong performers
- Hands-on operator with active advertiser, brand, and agency relationships
- Entrepreneurial, accountable, results-driven, comfortable in fast-moving environments
- Active network of advertiser, brand, and agency relationships to drive revenue on day one
- Ability to travel and manage executive-level relationships
