Job Summary
Vice President, Resource Development & Advancement leads EBALDC’s fundraising strategy across institutional giving, major donor engagement, corporate partnerships, and philanthropic growth initiatives. The role serves as a visible external ambassador, shaping EBALDC’s storytelling and partnerships to secure resources that support residents and communities across the East Bay. Responsibilities include building scalable fundraising systems, leading an advancement team, driving multi-year revenue growth, cultivating major donors and foundations, coordinating with executive leadership and the Board on revenue goals and performance, and aligning fundraising efforts with mission-aligned, relationship-centered impact. The role requires collaboration with Communications on storytelling, cross-functional leadership across departments, and a commitment to equity and community-centered development. The position is based in Oakland, CA, with in-person work required.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive fundraising and advancement leadership experience
- Proven success securing and managing major donor and institutional funding relationships
- Strong executive presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience building advancement systems, teams, and scalable fundraising infrastructure
- Strategic thinker with strong operational and organizational leadership capability
- Passion for equity, community-centered development, and EBALDC’s mission
