Job Summary
Oversee and lead all aspects of construction quality control and assurance across every active project nationally, designing and enforcing quality assurance processes and inspections across all phases. Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals embedded with project teams in the field, while holding a formal seat in constructability reviews and equipment/material standards discussions to flag and escalate systemic issues before they reach the field. Own project-level root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive action, tracking defects, RFIs, and warranty claims back to upstream design or procurement decisions to drive standard updates. Establish quality standards, governance, and escalation paths, and partner with the Business Excellence department to align field practices with enterprise quality standards, KPI frameworks, and ISO 9001 requirements. Develop and implement training programs for team members on quality standards, best practices, and compliance requirements, and communicate lessons learned and quality trends to company leadership and project teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or technical/associate degree in a related field
- 15 years of related experience in construction
- A minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role managing quality teams and multi-project or enterprise-level quality initiatives
- Proven track record building or transforming a construction quality program at a comparably sized or larger design-build firm or general contractor
- Deep proficiency in quality processes, inspection techniques, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with design, procurement, and operations leadership to resolve quality issues upstream of the field
- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to safely navigate construction sites, including walking uneven terrain, climbing stairs or ladders, and complying with all site-specific safety requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Accurate near and distant vision
- Ability to fly or drive to job site locations as needed
- Direct supervision of other team members within strategy, continuous improvement and TQMS functions
