Job Summary

The Vice President of Production Operations leads the end-to-end operational readiness for MISUMI Americas, defining and owning the readiness framework across people, processes, technology, and supply chain to deliver on production commitments. Responsible for building and guiding a high-performing global operations organization, driving on-time, on-budget, and on-quality execution across customer programs, and partnering with cross-functional leadership to ensure scalable, market-aligned production offerings. Roles include setting KPIs and governance, leading cross-region operational programs, implementing lean/continuous improvement, driving AI-enabled optimization, and ensuring strong collaboration with Sales, Technology, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Quality. The role requires frequent travel (25–40%), remote work flexibility (USA-based), and a focus on operational excellence, program management, supply chain resilience, and customer satisfaction. Preferred experience includes Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, MBA or advanced degree, ERP/digital transformation experience, multilingual capability, and exposure to MISUMI Americas’ product and business model.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive role (VP or equivalent) overseeing production or manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated track record of leading operational transformations and scaling operations organizations in growth stage or mid market contract manufacturing companies
  • Expertise in production program management, supply chain strategy, and lean/continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large, globally distributed teams
  • Strong cross-functional influencing skills; ability to align diverse stakeholders around operational strategy and execution priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
