Job Summary
Conduct detailed business, system, and process analysis within the Payments Enablement Platform Data Services Group to translate product intent, regulatory needs, and operational requirements into clear, testable analysis and backlog-ready stories. Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements, including regulatory, control, resiliency, data, and operational considerations. Create and maintain analysis artifacts such as process flows, user journeys, decision tables, and data mappings. Partner with the Product Owner to support backlog readiness, clarify scope, acceptance criteria, and downstream impacts, while conducting impact analysis across adjacent workflows and systems to surface risks and dependencies early. Validate requirements with testing teams, support UAT and defect triage, and maintain regulatory and audit traceability from requirements through release. Contribute to launch and BAU handovers by preparing process updates, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent
- 5+ years of overall experience
- Experience in transaction banking
- At least 2 years in a Product Owner, or Business Analyst role
- Payments Data Domain Knowledge
- Strong grasp of payment processing workflows, including instruction enrichment, validation, and routing logic
- Knowledge of transaction classification, foreign exchange determination, and cut-off/value date logic
- Awareness of messaging standards (e.g., ISO 20022, SWIFT MT) and regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, PSD2, FATF)
- Experience working with data lakes, cloud-based data platforms, and enterprise data warehouses
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, event-driven architectures, and streaming data pipelines
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on data modeling, schema design, and data integration
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, prioritize datasets, and resolve data gaps
- Experience in data lifecycle management, including ingestion, transformation, and distribution
- Comfort with data audit processes, critical control identification, and risk mitigation
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data trends, monitor performance, and inform product decisions
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and SQL-based analysis
- Ability to translate business needs into data-driven user stories and acceptance criteria
- Understanding of data governance principles
- Ability to define and enforce data quality rules, monitor data integrity, and manage remediation workflows
- Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with a solid grasp of Agile principles, ceremonies and backlog prioritization/management
- Ability to write clear and actionable user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage a product backlog
- Strong stakeholder management skills — capable of balancing the needs of operations, compliance, IT, and clients
- Experience collaborating with development teams, testers, and business SMEs to deliver high-quality solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work cross-functionally across business and technical teams
- Ability to analyze trends and use data to inform product decisions and drive operational efficiency
- Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and data visualization tools
- Proficient in the use of AI and its applicability to Payments Data Services
- Strong communication and documentation skills — able to translate complex payment processes into business and technical requirements
- High attention to detail, especially in compliance- and risk-sensitive environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
- Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional team and across different time zones
