Job Summary
Lead HP’s CTO Software organization as VP of Platform Engineering, driving platform stacks across DevEx, data and AI, security, infrastructure, and reliability to enable AI-enabled developer productivity and scalable software delivery. Build and mentor a high-performing, diverse team of technology leaders, establish and execute a vision for platform engineering, and partner with C-level stakeholders to deliver measurable business value. Key responsibilities include attracting and developing technology leaders, advancing security-first software delivery, delivering trusted data, AI, and ML capabilities, and delivering scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure and reliability strategies. The role requires extensive senior engineering leadership experience, deep technical expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures, and exceptional communication with executive stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; a Ph.D. is preferred
- 15+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 8+ years in senior people management
- 4+ years of technology/software leadership with global teams
- experience in distributed systems, cloud-native software architecture, and AI-native software development lifecycle
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional partners
