Job Summary
Direct and coordinate all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and capacity management. Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and minimize costs through lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives. Lead strategic sourcing to ensure a robust supply chain, overseeing procurement activities, vendor selection, and supplier relationship management while monitoring performance metrics. Develop comprehensive production plans aligned with company objectives, monitor progress to identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality and cost targets. Lead and develop the production organization, ensuring compliance with aerospace regulatory requirements and championing programs that improve employee safety and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management, including 5+ years at the director level or above
- Aerospace, Automotive, or similar industry experience in a technical field, with working knowledge of relevant processes, materials, and technologies
- Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills, with a demonstrated record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build durable relationships across internal teams, customers, and suppliers
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams toward ambitious goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA, or MS in engineering or a related field)
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement credentials
- Experience in a startup or high-growth entrepreneurial environment
- Experience with fixed-base operations (FBO) or MRO environments
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing setting
