Job Summary
Vice President of Operations, North America for Hitachi Energy leads manufacturing operations for Distribution Transformer activities across North America with remote-based work from North Carolina. Responsibilities include setting and achieving year-over-year operational targets (HSE, quality, schedule, and P&L), driving continuous improvement and Lean practices, ensuring timely delivery of products and services, building strong customer relationships, and leading a cross-functional team across multiple locations. The role emphasizes strategy execution, people leadership, and alignment with global product-group strategy, with a focus on safety, compliance, productivity, delivery, and cost optimization. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field (MBA preferred) and 10–15 years of factory-management experience in manufacturing, along with demonstrated leadership across locations and geographies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 10 to 15 years’ experience of factory management and Lean principles implementation in traditional manufacturing environments
- Leadership experience with proven track record of leading teams and managing projects
- Experience managing manufacturing units in multiple locations and geographies
- Permanent US work authorization
