Job Summary
Lead and expand Suffolk Construction's Mission Critical business by setting sector strategy, overseeing execution of business plan goals, and developing market expertise. Direct work acquisition pursuits, cultivate client relationships, and lead teaming strategies while recommending general conditions and fees. Manage sector P&L through weekly financial reviews, NOI forecasting, revenue commitments, and cash flow analysis. Oversee preconstruction efforts, ensure construction activities align with Standard Operating Procedures, and conduct weekly performance reviews with Project Executives. Recruit key staff, evaluate team performance, build future leaders through mentoring, and create the sector organizational structure and career pathing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Construction Management or relevant discipline
- minimum of ten years of experience in the Mission Critical field or a related area
- Extensive knowledge of Mission Critical construction markets and business sectors
- A thorough familiarity with construction concepts, definitions, practices and procedures
- practical knowledge of planning, permitting, and zoning regulations
- Ability to travel 50%
