Job Summary
Drive strategic direction and P&L accountability for transportation, logistics, and recycling operations. Oversee trucking, dispatching, fleet maintenance, scheduling, and safety while maximizing asset utilization and driving revenue through backhauls and commodity optimization. Supervise daily load dispatching for stores and distribution centers, manage inbound and outbound freight scheduling via TMS, and lead recycling collection and processing of pallets, cardboard, and plastics. Ensure compliance with DOT and State requirements, coordinate with vendors to expand business opportunities, and manage relationships with key internal and external partners. Lead a team of associates while partnering with Distribution, Operations, Finance, IT, Merchandising, HR, and Legal to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of related experience
- Strong industry knowledge of best practices in supply chain management and transportation
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong decision maker
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Good visual acuity
- Ability to communicate
- Close vision for PC work
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
