Vice President of Supply Management

Job Summary
Define and lead Supply Chain strategies in partnership with Quality, Inventory, and Logistics leadership. Evaluate procedure effectiveness, integrate cost-saving measures, and manage all Supply Chain operations and departments. Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers and customers while maintaining budgetary responsibilities and ensuring regulatory compliance. Drive company strategy execution, lead and develop teams through coaching and training, and supervise employees across distribution and manufacturing functions. Manage supplier relationships, monitor category trends, and ensure adherence to GFSI guidelines and legal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Management
- 7+ years of work experience or equivalent combination education and work experience in operations and/or supply base management in a distribution/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of standard documentation tools (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with successful completion of objectives
- Ability to make sound data-driven business decisions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to produce and deliver presentations to a wide range of audiences
- Leadership ability and strong goal attainment orientation
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Self-starter, possessing high degree of self-motivation, bias for action
- Must have demonstrated ability to lead multiple small, medium and large projects simultaneously through all phases of the project lifecycle, including detailed project schedules, task lists and status change reporting
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Computer Aid Design (CAD) applications
- Strong chemical distribution experience
- Food manufacturing experience
- Experience leading distribution centers and supply chain operations within organizations generating approximately $300M+ in revenue
- Exposure to quality systems, quality management, or partnering closely with quality organizations
- 5-10 years of previous quality experience
- High degree of technical knowledge relative to Supply Base Management practices and methodologies in a multi-plant global environment
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Supply chain industry association membership
