Job Summary
Vice President of Sales to lead the US sales strategy for a nutraceutical/functional ingredients company. Remote-friendly role based in the continental US with up to 50% travel; reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and oversees direct sales, channel partners, and key account management. Responsibilities include building and mentoring regional managers, account executives, and inside sales; pursuing new business opportunities; managing major US retailers, CP G brands, and distributors; monitoring market trends; collaborating with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliant go-to-market execution; and tracking KPIs such as quotas and market penetration. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), 10+ years of sales leadership in nutraceutical/CPG with at least 5 years in a VP role, a history of achieving $50M+ in annual sales, deep knowledge of US market regulations (FDA/DSHEA), and proficiency with Salesforce and analytics; preferred is an existing network in US health-and-wellness CPG and experience launching new products. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in nutraceutical, ingredients, or CPG industry
- 5+ years in a VP-level role focused on the US market
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in B2B sales environments
- Strong understanding of US functional food, beverage, and supplement markets; regulatory landscape (DSHEA, FDA)
- Experience leading remote/highly distributed sales teams
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce) and sales analytics platforms
- Existing network of contacts within US CPG companies, distributors, and retailers in health and wellness
- Experience launching new product lines or entering underserved market segments
