Job Summary
Vice President of Operations for a Virginia startup laboratory located in Fredericksburg, overseeing day-to-day operations, staffing, workflow, and compliance across the Virginia facility. Leads development and scaling of startup operations, collaborates with executive leadership and Laboratory Director, optimizes LIS and operational technologies, ensures regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, OSHA, HIPAA, CMS; Virginia regulations), manages budgeting, vendor relationships, audits, and client services for Long-Term Care and healthcare partners, and drives scalable systems, processes, and growth initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare or laboratory operations management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory operations and Long-Term Care service environments
- Experience managing high-volume healthcare operations preferred
- Startup, growth-stage, or multi-site operational experience strongly preferred
- Experience with laboratory information systems and operational reporting tools
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership and clinical personnel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
