Job Summary
Lead and grow the Mechanical/HVAC discipline statewide for Hall Engineering Group across Florida; oversee the design and delivery of complex HVAC systems in healthcare, aviation, industrial, and commercial markets; mentor engineers and designers, manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and profitability; develop client relationships and support proposals; ensure code compliance (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, Florida Building Code); drive Revit/BIM workflows and energy modeling; collaborate with electrical, lighting, commissioning, and structural teams to deliver fully coordinated MEP solutions; contribute to firm-wide planning, recruiting, and operational initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (Florida or reciprocity-eligible)
- 10+ years of mechanical/HVAC design engineering experience with progressive leadership responsibility
- Proven background leading large, multidisciplinary projects and coordinating complex HVAC systems
- Strong technical knowledge in chilled water, VRF, VAV, and central energy plant systems
- Familiarity with Revit/BIM workflows and building performance modeling
- Business development and client-facing experience preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship abilities
