Job Summary
Provide executive leadership for Brand Strategy, Marketing, Community Engagement, Strategic Partnerships, Fund Development, and Grant Development. Develop and execute long-range organizational growth strategies that strengthen community awareness and philanthropic investment while serving as a strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer. Lead integrated storytelling campaigns across all communication channels to increase public understanding of the need for blood donation and oversee advertising, digital marketing, public relations, and content development. Cultivate executive-level relationships with healthcare organizations, foundations, and civic leaders to expand regional influence and secure sustainable revenue streams. Monitor departmental performance, manage budgets, and collaborate with Recruitment, Donor Services, and other departments to ensure aligned organizational priorities. Represent the organization before community organizations, media, and external stakeholders as designated by the CEO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit development, community engagement, or business development
- Minimum of five (5) years of executive or senior leadership experience leading professional teams
- Demonstrated success developing organizational brand strategy and integrated marketing campaigns
- Demonstrated success securing grants, sponsorships, philanthropic support, and strategic community partnerships
- Experience leading fundraising initiatives and cultivating relationships with corporations, foundations, civic organizations, and community leaders
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and travel throughout the organization's service area
- Ability to occasionally lift and transport materials up to 25 pounds
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and technology
- Primarily office-based with frequent travel throughout the community
- Occasional evening and weekend work required to support community events, donor initiatives, fundraising activities, and organizational functions
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Accreditation in Public Relations (APR)
- Equivalent executive experience may be considered in lieu of certification
- Executive leadership experience within healthcare, nonprofit, blood banking, or mission-driven organizations
