Job Summary
Oversee multi-port harbor assist operations (tug/escort) with P&L ownership, safety/compliance culture, and senior leadership development. Lead safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory adherence; drive performance with data-driven metrics. Manage staffing, operations across fleets and ports, labor relations including collective bargaining, and external stakeholder engagement. Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets; pursue efficiencies and process improvements. Represent organization in industry events and forge partnerships with customers, vendors, regulators, and partners. Requires extensive maritime operations experience, proven financial leadership, and strong communication skills; Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred; 12+ years maritime leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in maritime operations with thorough knowledge of vessel management, regulatory compliance, and industry trends.
- Proven success in managing P&L, budgets, forecasting, and driving financial performance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams with strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience working with labor unions and managing collective bargaining environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient with Microsoft Office and enterprise business systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information and perform effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- At least 12 years of maritime industry experience, including significant operational leadership roles.
