Vice President of Land Development

Job Summary
Oversees Entitlements, Land Development, and New Community Planning while coordinating departments to deliver projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities include networking with developers, engineers, planners, municipalities, and landowners; performing due diligence for deal viability; working with legal on issues during and after construction; managing entitlement personnel and projects; coordinating consultants and approvals with City/County agencies; ensuring timely consultant payments and budgets; overseeing land development budgets, schedules, and contractor negotiations; guiding new community openings and coordination with construction and permitting to secure timely building permits; and performing other duties as assigned. Requires ability to design and supervise land planning and construction projects (roads, water/sewer utilities, stormwater), strong interpersonal and organizational skills to engage officials and the public, and excellent written and verbal communication for presentations and public materials. Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; Minimum 10 years in land development and analysis; prior experience with public homebuilding companies preferred.
