Job Summary

Direct and oversee the Human Resources department, establishing and maintaining workplace culture while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on all HR matters. Develop, implement, and evaluate HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that support organizational growth, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, and succession planning. Lead workforce development by assessing training needs, coaching managers on employee development, and managing departmental budgets and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, oversee audits of personnel files, and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in human resources management
  • 10 years of experience
  • 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of federal and Massachusetts state laws governing employment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Skill in administration and/or supervision
  • Skill in organization, prioritization, and working independently
  • Ability to serve as a role model and a leader within the Agency and its community
  • Ability to respond to department emergencies
  • Ability to communicate and work with others cooperatively
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Qualifying criminal background check(s)
  • Driving record
  • Valid driver's license
