Vice President of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

Job Summary
Executive leader responsible for building and sustaining a world-class safety culture across IPS, directly reporting to the Chief Performance Officer. Leads a geographically dispersed HSE organization, driving enterprise HSE strategy, governance, incident investigations, and learning programs. Focuses on critical risk management, leadership accountability, and operational excellence; briefs senior leadership with dashboards and leading/lagging indicators. Oversees electrical safety, lockout/tagout, arc flash, confined space, lifting and rigging, driving safety, contractor safety, and field service operations; collaborates with Operations, HR, Legal, Risk Management, and other stakeholders; represents IPS with customers, regulators, and industry groups; travels 40-60% across North America and the UK to support centers and acquisitions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Management, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of progressive HSE leadership experience
- Experience leading multi-site HSE organizations across geographically dispersed operations
- Strong understanding of industrial risk management involving electrical systems, energized work, rotating equipment, field service operations, heavy lifting, and contractor management
- Proven ability to build safety leadership capability in HSE professionals and operational leaders
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, change management, and organizational development skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CUSP, CHMM or equivalent strongly preferred
- Ability to travel 40-60% throughout North America and the UK

- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations
